Yep, that's me. I am so excited! Even though I have been scrapbooking for a while, I have only been blogging for a little over a month. Being asked to be a Guest Designer is the cherry on top of my favorite banana split.
This week's challenge at Lasting Memories is "Snow Falling on Cedar". So, here is a layout showing a rare feature of Augusta, Georgia - SNOW!
Supplies used:
glitter cardstock - DCWV Summer Dream Cardstock Stack
printed paper - Creative Memories
other paper - from scraps folder
ribbon - from stash
Cricut cartridges - CM Cheerful Seasons
Til next time,
Melissa
P.S. Sorry, the pictures are not the best. I do not know how to take good pictures of my LOs or other pieces to put on my blog.
So glad you get to join us for the month. Lovely layout. I struggle with taking pictures of my layouts too. Just keep trying. I find that natural light works best and I have a makeshift easle to prop up my layout. I always get photos that look kind of slanted because of it. Like I said just keep trying
ReplyDeleteCongrats Melissa...love the layout...those of us that live in Augusta, understand what a big deal that little bit of snow was!
ReplyDeleteWoot woot... So excited that you have decided to join us as Guest this month... We are so pleased to share this month with you...
ReplyDeleteI love your double LO!! And don't worry too much about the photos of your LO's, they look fine...
I always lay mine down to make them square and even.. Then try to make sure there is good light but no shadows or glare... Honestly it isn't a fine art form, we are all learning all the time... :)
Your doing great so far.. :)

WELCOME Melissa!! Wonderful snowy layout and your photos look good to me! Natural light and no glare is my best advice. I too always come out with slightly angled pictures... drives me nuts. But cropping is a wonderful thing. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats and Welcome!! I just love all the blue in your LO and how beautifully it all came together!! So uber pretty!!
