Child's Theme Cartridge with a twist

This is my design team post for My Cricut Craft Room. I created the following two page scrapbook layout using the Locker Talk and Mickey Font cartridges. The pictures are from a play that my now 6th grader was in as a 3rd grader. Each grade level of the elementary school she attended, the same school that my youngest is currently attending, puts on a musical every year. The title of this play was "Colors". The story was about all the colors in a box of crayons.

The crayons were cut from Locker Talk. They are both 3". The title was cut from Mickey Font at 1.25".

Supplies used:
Cardstock
Patterned Paper is from The Stack (I don't know which collection)
Creative Memories Wavy Paper Trimmer

Festive Water Things

Water Slide Scrapbook Page

This is my design team post for My Cricut Craft Room. I created the following scrapbook page using the H20 Cricut cartridge. The page is very bare right now. I have pictures from a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge, an indoor waterpark. I just need to find the right picture to figure out just the right title. The water slide on the page is cut at 8 1/4".

Mother's Day Card

Mother's Day Card from an Adult Child

This is my design team post for My Cricut Craft Room. I created the following card to give to my mom for Mother's Day. One of her favorite colors is green, so I was sure to incorporate that. My girls helped me pick out the other paper. I cut the owl from the Twinkle Toes Cricut cartridge (4" - shift, layer, and layer shift) and the word "mom" from the Alphalicious Cricut cartridge (0.5" - regular and shadow).

Supplies used:
paper-from scrap folder
Color Box fluid chalk - Chestnut Roan
Cricut cartridges - Twinkle Toes and Alphalicious

MCCR Design Team - Anything Spring

I am one of the newest members of the design team over at My Cricut Craft Room.  I created a scrapbook page for Festive Friday - Anything Spring. I used Walk in My Garden to create the wheelbarrow (5" cuts - regular, shift, and shadow). This can be found on page 107 of the book. I also used Don Juan for the title (cut at 1 1/2"). This is the first time I have used either of these cartridges. I created this page knowing I have pictures of my daughters planting seeds last summer. They each planted one item. The oldest planted squash and the youngest watermelon. They have picked out the same items this year, just a different variety.

I'm Back!

I have been away from the blogging world for a couple of months. I had surgery in February and am just feeling my creative juices flowing again. Thank God for clean test results.

I look forward to getting back to scrapbooking. I have already signed up for a few blog hops. And I am one of the newest members of My Cricut Craft Room's design team.

Hello to all our crafty friends! We have a great blog hop for you today. A little over a year ago Teresa began this new blog to celebrate the fact she wanted a change in her life. And for that change to be permanent came lots of prayer and leaning on God to give the right answers. The answers He needed to give not the answers Teresa desired. Well here we are 1 year later and Teresa is a Stay at Home Wife loving life and doing all she needs to do to create a warm, loving atmosphere for her family!

So thanks for joining us today...Teresa asked all the participants to create something that represented a change in their life...So hop on along.

You should have found your way here from Michele. If not, take a look at Teresa's project over at http://freshandrenewed.blogspot.com/. Make sure you comment along the way as Teresa has blog candy for you over at her blog!

Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of my grandmother's death. Mimi, Anne Pearre Smith Ansley, lived for a wonderful 90 years. I cherish every moment we spent together from me as a little girl spending the night with her, playing on the school bus she drove for the local school system, watching her "story" - The Young and the Restless, playing Uno and Skip-Bo, shopping trips, breakfast at Waffle House, and the most important the wonderful talks we had during the last few years of her life. Even though my grandmother lived alone the last few years of her life, she didn't like to be alone. I would stay over at Mimi's when I could, of course not as often as I should have. So after cleaning her house and drinking our coffee, we would TALK and TALK. I will cherish these memories forever.
Supplies used: cardstock from stash; "Mimi" chipboard; patterned paper - DCWV The Stack 6; want 2 scrap - Say it with Bling

I have blog candy. To be eligible to receive a RAK, please become a follower of my blog and leave a comment on today's post.

This LO shows a time expanse of 6 years. In the picture on the left, my girls are 1 and 5. Now they are 7 and 11. Wow, are they growing up fast! And they have such different personalities.  The oldest is so reserved and methodical and the youngest is spirited and spunky. I have to remind myself each and every day to slow down and spend time doing things they enjoy. If not, another six years will fly by and I'll miss it.

Supplies used:
paper from my stash (I know the printed paper came from Wal-Mart. But I bought it so many years ago that I don't remember the company.)
ribbon - CTMH
Cricut - Classic Cricut Font cut at 1" (italic and italic shadow)

I have blog candy. To be eligible to receive a RAK, you must leave a comment and be a follower of my blog. I will select the winner using Random.org and post the name Monday, Jan. 7.
